Simulation tools
All tools available on the INOWAS platform are fully documented with detailed description of the underlaying equations and physical principles. The documentation includes: short description of the real-world problem that can be addressed with the respective tool; for analytical tools: the governing equation and its parameters; the assumptions and limitations of the equation implemented; an example of problems that can be solved using the tool; screenshot corresponding to the default example; references and further information.
Background information
Additionally, the website includes a section dedicated to managed aquifer recharge with a separate page for each of its main technical methods. Each page contains the pros and cons and a table describing the applicability criteria for the selected method, including capacity scale, geology, topography, soils, water sources, pre-treatment, main objectives and relative costs. The method is exemplified at different case studies around the world.
